Modi 3.0 : Narendra Modi to take oath as Prime Minister for third term on June 9

New Delhi : Narendra Modi will take oath as prime minister for the third time on June 9 at 7:15 pm, the Rashtrapati Bhavan said on Friday. The members of his council of ministers will also be sworn-in on that day.

Earlier today, Modi was chosen as the Parliamentary Party leader by the BJP-led NDA at a high-level meeting of the alliance’s MPs in the Parliament’s Samvidhan Bhavan. Later he called on President Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhavan today evening where she handed him the letter of appointment and named him as as PM-designate.

According to the statement released from the Rashtrpati bhavan, President will administer the Oath of Office and Secrecy to the Prime Minister and other members of the Union Council of Ministers on June 09, 2024 at 07:15 pm at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Addressing media after meeting with President, Modi said the results of the 18th Lok Sabha have been announced.This is the first election to be held during Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. Year 2047 will mark India’s 100th year of independence. The 18th Lok Sabha is an important foundation for the realisation of dreams we have for 2047.

The NDA government has been given a chance to serve the country for the third time. I am grateful to my countrymen, and I assure you that India will continue to develop in every sector at an even faster pace than during our previous two terms, he added.

The NDA partners have trusted me with their leadership once again. On June 9, 2024, I will take the oath as the Prime Minister of India. NDA-3 will put in even more efforts for the development of India and the realization of the aspirations of its people, he concluded.
