Lok Sabha Elections 2024 : Bharatiya Janata Party has released the third list of its candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. Former Chennai South Telangana Governor Tamilisai Sundararajan has been made the candidate. BJP’s Tamil Nadu state president Annamalai will contest from Coimbatore. BJP has given place to 9 names in this list.
There are a total of 39 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu, out of which BJP has given 10 to Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK). The party has so far announced candidates for 276 seats. Apart from this, on Thursday BJP declared Mohesh Chai as its candidate from Tezu seat for Arunachal Pradesh Assembly elections.
BJP had released the first list on March 2. 195 candidates were announced in this. The names of PM Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh were in the first list. At the same time, BJP’s second list came on March 13, which had 72 names.
Election in Tamil Nadu in is in the first phase i.e. on 19th April. Voting will take place on 39 seats here on the same day. There are 7 reserved seats out of 39 seats in Tamil Nadu. Notification has been issued in Tamil Nadu on 20 March. The last date for nomination here is 27th March. There are 6.18 crore total voters in Tamil Nadu. Out of this, 3.14 crore women and 3.03 crore male voters are included.
