India Squad For South Africa Tour announced, Virat Rohit Rested
The BCCI has announced the teams for the Indian cricket team’s tour of South Africa beginning on December 10. The Test team will be led by Rohit Sharma. Suryakumar Yadav will be the captain of the T20I team while KL Rahul will lead the ODI team.
The statement from the BCCI reads that Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli had requested the Board for a break from the white-ball leg of the tour and hence have not been picked for the T20Is and ODIs. The Indian cricket team is set to tour South Africa next month for three T20Is and three ODIs, followed by a two-match Test series.
During the tour, India A will also play two four-day matches against South Africa A and one inter-squad three-day match.
