Ind vs Eng 1st test Day 2 : On the second day of the first Test match going on between India and England at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, the Indian batting line up has showed dominance and put the team in a strong position. The Indian team made 421 runs at the loss of 7 wickets in its first innings and gained a huge lead of 175 runs.
India started the day leading by 119 runs at the loss of one wicket. However, the morning did not start well and opener Yashasvi Jaiswal (80 runs) was out early in the first over. After this, Shubman Gill (23 runs) became the victim of Tom Hartley’s ball, whose catch was caught by Ben Duckett.
Despite these setbacks, Indian batsmen continued to build a strong foundation. KL Rahul played a crucial inning of 86 before being caught by Ryan Ahmed while attempting to pull the ball from Tom Hartley. Shreyas Iyer (35 runs) and KS Bharat (41 runs) made notable contributions. After Srikar was out, Ravindra Jadeja completely took charge. Facing 155 balls, Jadeja scored unbeaten 81 runs, which included seven fours and two sixes. Whereas Akshar hit five fours and one six in his innings of 62 balls.
