IND vs AUS Test : Boxing Day Test is being played between India and Australia in Melbourne. This is the fourth Test of the five-match Test series between the two teams. Australia won the toss and chose to bat first. On the second day on Friday, Australia scored 474 runs in their first innings. In reply, India’s first innings ended at 369 runs. The fourth day’s play has ended.

Australia has scored 228 runs in their second innings after losing nine wickets. On the basis of the first innings, they had a lead of 105 runs. As such, the total lead of the team has become 333 runs. Brilliant batting of Scott Boland and Nathan Lyon has left India yearning for wickets. So far, the two have made a partnership of 55 runs in 110 balls for the tenth wicket.

Lyon is unbeaten on 41 runs and Boland is unbeaten on 10 runs. Australia suffered the ninth blow at the score of 173. The Kangaroos had scored 474 runs in their first innings. In reply, India’s first innings ended at 369 runs on Sunday itself.

Now 98 overs will be bowled in the last day of the match. It would be interesting to see whether Team India is able to wrap up the Australian innings in the opening session or not. India will crate history if they will be asble to chase the score.

The highest successful chase in a Test in Melbourne was 332 runs, which England did against Australia in 1928. Australia’s batting was poor in the second innings. Marnus Labuschagne scored the highest 70 runs. At the same time, captain Pat Cummins played an innings of 41 runs. Apart from this, Lyon has scored runs.

Five Australian batsmen could not even touch the double digit figure. These include Sam Constas (8), Travis Head (1), Mitchell Marsh (0), Alex Carey (2) and Mitchell Starc (5). Usman Khawaja was dismissed after scoring 21 runs and Steve Smith after scoring 13 runs. From India, Bumrah has taken four wickets so far and Siraj has taken three wickets. Ravindra Jadeja got one wicket.
