Ind vs Aus 5th Test  : Under the captaincy of Pat Cummins, Australia has taken back the Border Gavaskar Trophy from India after 10 years. Australia defeated India by 6 wickets in the fifth Test match played in Sydney. With this victory.

Australia has made it to the WTC final for the second consecutive time where it will face South Africa. With the defeat, the Indian team also lost the chance to reach the WTC final for the third consecutive time.

Chasing the target of 162 runs set by India, Australia won by 4 wickets. Debutant Beau Webster returned unbeaten after scoring 39 and Travis Head 34. Scott Boland played an important role in Australia’s victory, who took 10 wickets in both innings.

In the Sydney Test match, the condition of Team India was bad from the first innings. In the match, captain Jaspreet Bumrah decided to bat first after winning the toss, but the team scored only 185 runs. However, the bowlers showed a great performance and restricted the host team to a score of just 181 runs.

Team India’s batting was poor in the second innings as well. The top order batsmen completely disappointed. In such a situation, with a meagre lead of just 4 runs, Team India was reduced to a score of just 157 runs in the second innings. In such a situation, Australia got a target of just 162 runs in the fourth innings to win.

In the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Australian fast bowlers attacked India from all sides. This is the reason why Team India’s batting failed miserably. Be it captain Pat Cummins or Mitchell Starc or Scott Boland, everyone troubled the Indian batsmen.
