In the meeting of 28 parties, the strategy and face for the upcoming general elections was discussed. After the alliance meeting, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that 8 to 10 public meetings will be held across the country. He said that a unanimous decision was taken on how the India Alliance should move forward. The suspension of MPs was also discussed in this meeting.
Earlier, Congress formed a National Alliance Committee of 5 members in view of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Ashok Gehlot, Bhupesh Baghel, Salman Khurshid and Mohan Prakash are its members. Mukul Wasnik was made the coordinator of the committee. In the press conference after the meeting, Mallikarjun Kharge said that seat sharing between INDIA alliances will happen at the state level.
