Deepika Padukone joins Shingham Again, shares first look
Actress Deepika Padukone has joined the cop universe of film maker Rohit Shetty. This news has been confirmed by the actress herself. Deepika is going to play Lady Cop in ‘Singham Again’, the third installment of the ‘Singham’ franchise. Rohit Shetty himself has shared a special post welcoming the actress. In this post, Deepika is seen wearing a police uniform in a very dangerous style, seeing which the excitement of the fans has reached the seventh sky.
The shooting of the film has started recently. Apart from Ajay Devgan, Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh is also going to be in Singham Again. While sharing Deepika’s look on Instagram, Rohit Shetty has described her as the most cruel and violent police officer of the cop universe.
He wrote, “Woman is the form of Sita as well as Durga. Meet the most cruel and violent officer of our cop universe. Shakti Shetty…My Lady Singham…Deepika Padukone.”
“Singham Again” is the third film in the Ajay Devgan-led “Singham” series, which started with 2011’s “Singham” and was followed by “Singham Return”. Apart from this, Ranveer Singh’s “Simmba” (2018) is also set in the same universe. And “Sooryavanshi” (2021) starring Akshay Kumar is also included. Ranveer Singh will reprise his role of Sangram Bhalerao aka Simmba in “Singham Again”. Kareena Kapoor Khan, who plays the role of Avni Kamat, is also making a comeback in the the movie.
