Senior Congress leader and spokesperson Gaurav Vallabh has resigned from all posts of the party. He has posted his resignation in a social media post and also told the reason for leaving the party.
The former Congress leader said that he cannot raise anti-Sanatan slogans and neither can he abuse the wealth creators of the country morning and evening. Therefore, he is resigning from all the posts along with the primary membership of the Congress party.
In a letter addressed to the Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Mr. Vallabh said, ‘I am emotional. My mind is distressed. I want to say a lot, want to write, want to tell. But, my values forbid me from saying anything that hurts others. Still, I am presenting my views before you today, because I feel that hiding the truth is also a crime, and I do not want to be a part of the crime.’
The Congress spokesperson further wrote, ‘I am a professor of finance. After becoming a member of the Congress party, the party made me the national spokesperson. I strongly presented the party’s stand on many issues before the great people of the country. But for the last few days, I am feeling uncomfortable with the party’s stand. When I joined the Congress party, I believed that the Congress is the oldest party in the country, Where young, intellectual people and their ideas are valued. But in the last few years, I felt that the current form of the party is not able to adjust itself with the youth having new ideas.’
