After a long wait, the Bahujan Samaj Party has declared its candidate for the Rae Bareli parliamentary seat. The BSP has made Thakur Prasad its candidate. Thakur Prasad has contested the assembly elections from here twice, but lost.
He has entered the election fray to become an MP in 2024.Thakur Prasad contested from Sareni assembly seat in 2017 and then in 2022, but could not taste victory.
This time BSP has once again expressed confidence in Thakur Prasad and has given him a Lok Sabha ticket to make his way to Delhi. After the declaration of the candidate from BSP, now the announcement of the candidates of BJP and Congress is awaited.
The BSP has nominated Kamar Hayat Ansari from the Ambedkar Nagar seat and Brijesh Kumar Sonkar from the Bahraich seat.
