The BJP led alliance Mahayuti is set to return to power with a thumping majority in Maharashtra. The BJP-led alliance has gained an unassailable lead against the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA). According to the trends, Mahayuti has taken a lead in 220+ seats out of 288 while MVA is ahead in around 50 seats. BJP has emerged as the largest party within the Mahayuti. The party has won 7 seats and is leading in 124. Who will be the Chief Minister? On this question, BJP and Shiv Sena leaders are naming their own leaders. However, CM Eknath Shinde said that the three parties will decide on this together.
After the huge victory in the election, Devendra Fadnavis said, I am today’s Abhimanyu. PM Modi’s slogan ‘Ek Hain To Safe Hain’ was successful and fake narrative and polarization failed. He said, this is the victory of lakhs of workers of Mahayuti and their leaders. This victory has been achieved due to the guidance of the national leadership. We bow down to the people of Maharashtra.
Devendra Fadnavis said, Maharashtra is behind PM Modi. He has ended the polarization of a particular religion in Maharashtra. Thanks to the saints who went from village to village and awakened the people, due to which we have won. It is the victory of unity, it is the victory of Mahayuti.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Saturday said that the results of the assembly elections are historic and these results have decided who owns the Nationalist Congress Party and Shiv Sena. In a joint press conference as the ruling BJP-Shiv Sena-NCP alliance headed for a massive victory, the leaders of the ‘Mahayuti’ assured that the formation of the new government will happen easily.
The swearing-in ceremony of the Chief Minister of Maharashtra is likely to take place on the 25th. Due to the end of the term of the assembly on the 26th, the Mahayuti government can be formed a day earlier. Ajit Pawar’s NCP will hold an important meeting tomorrow to form the government. After the meeting, the NCP will submit a letter of support to the Mahayuti to the Governor.
