Announcement of new executive of the SAARC Journalist Forum

New Delhi : The executive of the international journalist organization “SAARC Journalist Forum” (SJF) for the year 2025-27 was announced today.

According to the release issued by SJF, the new executive is as follows. Ram Nath Vidrohi-International President, Dr. Samrendra Pathak-Executive President, Sushil Bharti-President India Chapter, M.H. Zakaria-Vice President, Shyam Nath Shyam-Principal General Secretary, Anees Kumar Pinku and Afroz Qureshi-General Secretary, Anees Kumar Guddu, Mushtaq Ahmed, Mrityunjay Sardar and Gopal Sharma-Secretary, Virendra Kumar-Treasurer, Farooq Shahmiri-Spokesman, Mukesh Kumar Singh, Avinash Kumar Singh, R.D. Meena, Syed Zaki Haider, Subir Sen, Akhilesh Kumar Akhil, Kumar Samat, Sarika Jha and Sultan Qureshi will be the members of the executive.

SJF has reiterated its resolve to fight along with many renowned and militant journalist organizations of the country to protect the interests of journalists in South Asia, especially in India.

SJF has reiterated its resolve to launch a nationwide movement demanding implementation of Journalist Protection Act in India, pension to freelance and special category accredited journalists after long service at national and provincial level like the first class employees and health care facility like equivalent officers, regular government advertisements to medium and small newspapers and digital communication platforms and adequate security to journalists working in cities and rural areas.

International President of the organization Ram Nath Vidrohi has said that the Chief Justice of India will soon be requested to settle the cases of journalists and non-journalists in various labor courts of the country at a fast pace, so that the journalists who have been making rounds of the courts for years in collusion with newspaper owners can get relief.
