DELHI ELECTIONS RESULTS: There has been a huge upset in the assembly elections in the country’s capital, Delhi. Many big faces of Aam Aadmi Party including Kejriwal-Manish Sisodia have lost. However, Atishi has won from Kalkaji seat.
Former CM Kejriwal contested from New Delhi seat, while Manish Sisodia contested from Jangpura instead of Patparganj this time. Both the leaders have lost the election.
Parvesh Sahib singh Verma, a seasoned BJP leader and two-term Member of Parliament from West Delhi, emerged victorious by defeating the former CM and Aap Supremo Arvind kejriwal in a high-stake electoral battle.
Considering the trends so far, BJP is leading on 47 seats. AAP is leading on 23 seats. There is a wave of happiness in the BJP camp on the trends of Delhi. PM Modi will address the workers at the BJP headquarters at 7.30 pm.
The Bhartiya Janta paty has crossed the majority mark in the recently concluded polls. The lotus of Bharatiya Janata Party has bloomed in the national capital Delhi. In the election results for the 70-member Delhi Assembly, the people have given a massive mandate to BJP.
Voting was held on all 70 seats of Delhi on February 5 and this time 60.54 percent voting has taken place, whereas last time 62.60 percent voting took place in Delhi.
