Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024 and the Rajasthan Global Business Expo at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC) in Jaipur, Rajasthan, today.
In his address, the Prime Minister described the occasion as another milestone in Rajasthan’s journey toward success. He extended his congratulations to the industry leaders, business representatives, investors, and delegates participating in the summit in the Pink City of Jaipur.
He said that every investor in the world is very excited about India. With the mantra of Reform, Perform, and Transform, India has made significant progress, which is visible in every sector. In the last 10 years, India has become the 5th largest economy in the world, doubling its economy. Democracy is flourishing in India.
PM Modi said that Rajasthan possesses a treasure trove of natural resources. He mentioned that the state boasts a network of modern connectivity, with a legacy of connectivity, significant landmarks, and a dedicated youth force. He added that Rajasthan has everything, from roads and railways to hospitals and handicrafts.
Rajasthan is a major centre of India’s tourism
PM Modi said that Rajasthan is a major centre of India’s tourism map. The state has history and heritage. Rajasthan is one of the select places in the world where people want to come to make their life’s moments memorable. Rajasthan also has a huge scope for wildlife tourism. The state has many places like Ranthambore, Sariska, Mukundara Hills, and Keoladeo, which are a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts.
About Investment Summit
The theme of the Investment Summit to be held from 9th to 11th December this year is ‘Replete, Responsible, Ready’. The Summit will host 12 sectoral thematic sessions on the themes of water security, sustainable mining, sustainable finance, inclusive tourism, agri-business innovations and women-led Startups among others. Eight Country sessions will also be held during the Summit with participating countries on the themes like ‘Water Management for Livable Cities’, ‘versatility of Industries- manufacturing and beyond’ and ‘Trade & Tourism.’
