Mohan Yadav To Be Next CM of Madhya Pradesh
The new Chief Minister has been announced in Madhya Pradesh. Mohan Yadav was named the CM of MP in the legislature party meeting. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan resigned after meeting the Governor. Mohan Yadav has also staked claim to form the government.
Bharatiya Janata Party Legislative Party leader Dr. Mohan Yadav reached Raj Bhavan and met Governor Mangubhai Patel. The party staked claim to form the government. During this, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Party Observer and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, National President of Backward Class Morcha Dr. K. Laxman, National Secretary of the party Asha Lakra, party state president and MP Vishnudutt Sharma, MLA Narendra Singh Tomar, Kailash Vijayvargiya, Prahlad Patel and state media in-charge Ashish Aggarwal were present.
In the recent 2023 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, Mohan Yadav won against Congress candidate Chetan Premnarayan Yadav by a margin of 12,941 votes and was once again elected as MLA from Ujjain South constituency. This victory ensured his third consecutive term as MLA, in which he got 95,699 votes.
Mohan Yadav, who was elected leader of the legislative party, said that I express my gratitude to the top leadership. As they have given me a big responsibility. it is only BJP which can take a small worker till here. After this, Mohan Yadav left the BJP office along with state president VD Sharma.
Former chief Minister Shivaraj Singh also congratulated the new CM, expressing hope that the state will witness “new heights of progress and development” under his leadership.
In a post in Hindi, he wrote, “Hearty congratulations to hardworking fellow Shri @DrMohanYadav51 ji on being nominated as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh in the BJP Legislative Party meeting.
Political Journey of Mohan Yadav
58-year-old Mohan Yadav’s political career started in 1984 when he joined the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad. He is also a member of RSS. He had contested elections from Ujjain South in 2013 and has been elected MLA from here for the third consecutive election.
He was the Chairman of Ujjain Development Authority from 2004 to 2010 while he has held the responsibility of Chairman of MP State Tourism Development Authority from 2011 to 2013.Yadav served as the Minister of the Higher Education Department in the outgoing Madhya Pradesh Cabinet from 2020 onwards.
