MP Election 2023 : Voting for 230 assembly seats of Madhya Pradesh has started at 7 am. 5.60 crore voters of the state will exercise their voting rights today. Voting will take place in Naxal affected areas only till 3 pm. Election results in 5 states including Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh will come on December 3.
As per chief electoral officer, there are also 5 thousand 160 pink booths run by women and 183 polling stations run by the disabled. Apart from this, 3 thousand model polling stations and 60 environment friendly green polling stations have also been created.
700 companies of central forces as well as 2 lakh police personnel of the state have been deployed for security during the poll. A total of 2 thousand 533 candidates including 252 women are in the fray in Madhya Pradesh.
PM Modi appealed everyone to vote
“Today voting will be held for all the assembly seats of Madhya Pradesh. I am confident that voters from every region of the state will vote enthusiastically and will enhance the beauty of this great festival of democracy. My special greetings to all the youth of the state who will vote for the first time in this election”, posted PM Modi on X.
Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi also tweeted, “Congress storm is coming in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh – with huge majority!
Come out of your homes, vote in large numbers today – and elect a Congress government that has the trust of the poor, farmers, women and youth”.
