Congress releases first list of 33 candidates for Rajasthan Assembly Polls
Jaipur : Congress has released the first list of its candidates for Rajasthan Assembly elections on Saturday. The Central Election Committee had given final approval to 33 nominations. The names of 29 sitting MLAs are in the first list including CM Ashok Gehlot, Sachin Pilot. Gehlot will contest from Sardarpura (Jodhpur) and Pilot Tonk. Congress has given tickets to 27% women. Candidates for 167 seats are yet to be announced.
Rajasthan Congress President Govind Singh Dotasara will contest from his own seat Laxmangarh. Apart from this, Divya Maderna from Osian, Ashok Chandna from Hindoli, Danish Abrar from Sawai Madhopur, Manisha Panwar from Jodhpur and Krishna Poonia from Sadulpur got tickets.
Four leaders of Sachin Pilot group have got tickets in the first list of Congress. Among them, Indraj Singh Gurjar from Viratnagar, Mukesh Bhakar from Ladnun seat, Ramnivas Gavadiya from Parbatsar seat and Amit Chachan from Nohar seat have got the ticket.
BJP has released its second list of 83 candidates today. Earlier, BJP had released the first list of 41 candidates on October 9 itself.
For Rajasthan Assembly Polls Gazette notification will be issued on 30 October. November 6 will be the last date for filing nominations. And scrutiny of nominations will take place on 7th November. Nominations can be withdrawn till November 9. Voting will be held on 25th November and counting of votes will take place on 3rd December i.e. the result will be released.
