BJP Announces 5th list for Madhya Pradesh Assembly Polls
Bhopal : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday released the fifth list of 92 candidates for the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections. The names of 92 candidates were finalized after a meeting of the Central Election Committee, which was held under the chairmanship of party president JP Nadda at the BJP headquarters in the national capital.
The BJP included 12 women candidates in the fifth list. These include Maya Singh from Gwalior East, Uma Khatik from Hatta, Manju Rajendra Dadu from Nepanagar, Burhanpur. Archana Chitnis from Dhar, Pratima Bagri from Raigaon, Radha Singh from Chitrangi, Sampatia Uike from Mandla, Mausam Visen, Usha Thakur from Dr. Ambedkar Nagar, Kanchan Mukesh Tanve from Khandwa, and Chhaya More from Pandhana,Neena Vikram Verma from Dhar.
Earlier, BJP had released the first list of total 39 candidates for elections on August 17. In the second list, there were names of 39 candidates including three Union Ministers. In the third list there was one candidate and in the fourth list there were names of a total of 57 candidates including CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Voting will be held for 230 seats in Madhya Pradesh in a single phase on November 17. Counting of votes for the assembly elections of the five states will take place on December 3. BJP has so far announced candidates for 228 out of 230 assembly seats in the state and the party is yet to declare its candidates for the remaining two seats.
