Amrendra Foundation distributed sanitary pads in Ghaziabad
Ghaziabad (Agency). The leading Social organization, Amrendra Foundation distributed sanitary pads among women and needy girls in Vasundhara, Ghaziabad. These pads were given to women completely free of cost. On behalf of the Foundation, Ghaziabad volunteers Sanaa and Akanksha also gave important information related to menstruation to all the women.
During the awareness programme the volunteers also educated about the problems caused due to carelessness during periods. They informed girls about keeping oneself clean during the menstrual cycle. They also told that using dirty clothes during this period can cause serious illness. There is always a risk of infection due to this.
Noted journalist and co-founder of Amrendra Foundation, Navesh Kumar said that our aim is to provide sanitary pads to maximum women and girl students at the rural level. Mr. Kumar said that this year our target is to provide fifty thousand pads to the needy girls and women in different states.
On this occasion, the NGO’s coordinators Ashutosh Pandey and Abhyudaya Shukla stressed on increasing efforts regarding sanitary campaign in other districts of the state also. Everyone appreciated this initiative of the NGO and expressed their desire to fulfill such social responsibilities in future also.
