Centre appoints new Chief Justices to two High Courts : Image / High Court Andhra Pradesh

New Delhi : In a significant development, Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya has been appointed as the Chief Justice Of the Bombay High Court, while Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur has been appointed as the Chief Justice Of the Andhra Pradesh High Court.

According to a notification, the President, after consultation with Chief Justice of India, appointed both the High Court Judges — Justice Upadhyay and Justice Thakur — as Chief Justices of High Courts of Bombay and Andhra Pradesh respectively.

On 5th July the Supreme Court Collegium recommended the name of Justice Dhiraj Singh for appointment as Chief Justice of Andhra PradeshHigh Court.
