Rs 75 coin to be launched to commemorate new Parliament building

New Delhi : Rs 75 Coin will be launched to commemorate the new parliament building. PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate the new Parliament House on 28 May. This coin is to be issued to commemorate the event. The Finance Ministry has given this information on Thursday.

This coin will also show the importance of completion of 75 years of India’s independence. On one side of this 75 rupees coin there will be lion of Ashoka pillar. ‘Satyamev Jayate’ will be written below it. It will have ‘Bharat’ written in Devanagari script on the left and ‘India’ in English on the right.

The notification from the ministry states that this coin will also have the rupee symbol and 75 will be written in numerals. The other side of the coin will have the picture of Parliament. Here ‘Sansad Sankul’ will be written on the top side in Devanagari script and ‘Parliament Complex’ will be written on the bottom side in English.

This Rs 75 coin will be of a circular shape with a diameter of 44 millimetres. It will have 200 serrations on its sides. This coin weighing 35 grams will be made of 4 metals. This coin will contain 50% silver, 40% copper, 5% nickel and 5% zinc.
