Karnataka Assembly Polls 2023 : Nomination withdrawal ends Campaign intensifies
Karnataka : The withdrawal of candidatures for the Assembly elections in Karnataka came to an end on Monday. It was the last day for the candidates to withdraw nominations for the Karnataka elections. As per the Election commision officials total 517 candidates have withdrawn their nominations, leaving a total of 2,613 candidates in the race.
Out of 2,613 candidates in the poll fray, 2,427 are male, 184 females and 2 others. Bharatiya Janata Party has fielded candidates in all the 224 constituencies, while the Congress is contesting on 223 seats. The Janata Dal (Secular) is contesting from 207 seats, AAP is contesting from 209 seats while Mayawati’s bahujan samaj party BSP has fielded candidate on 133 seats.
Along with this, the election campaign for Karnataka Assembly Polls 2023 has also intensified in the state and Congress and BJP have fielded their senior leaders for campaigning. The BJP president JP Nadda and Home minister Amit Shah has been doing back to back rallies and leaving no stone unturned to keep saffron party in race.
Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and State congrees president DK Shivkumar is attacking the ruling party on 40 percent reservation. Aware of the anti incumbency factor the oppostion has been attacking the ruling party for corruption in the state.
The Poll bound Karnataka is scheduled to vote on 10th May for 224 seats in a single phase. The result will be out on 13th May .
