New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended a programme organised to mark the ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ at Major Dhyan Chand Stadium in New Delhi on Monday. The event was organised in the remembrance of last Sikh Guru- Guru Gobind Singh, his four sons (Sahibzade), and Mata Gujri Ji.
Addressing the crowd gathered at the stadium, PM Modi said, “Sahibzaades are inspiring generations. A country that has such history should be filled with confidence but unfortunately, in the name of history we were taught only certain narratives which leads to an inferiority complex.”
The sacrifices we have been remembering for ages are being acknowledged by the whole country today. Veer Baal Diwas stands for Shaurya and Sikh Balidan. Veer Baal Diwas will empower Indians to take pride of their identity. It will help us celebrate our past and inspire us to build our future,” the PM said.
Veer Bal Diwas is going to be celebrated in India every year on 26th December. It will be observed to honor the ‘Sahibzade’, the four sons of Guru Gobind Singh. sons Sahibzada Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji.
